Returns Policy

At Mato Tanks, your satisfaction is our top priority. If you’re not fully satisfied with your order, we’re here to help. Below are our return and exchange policies:

1. Returns and Exchanges

You may request a return or exchange within 30 days of receiving your order.

2. Eligibility

To be eligible for a return or exchange:

• The item must be unused, in its original condition, and in the original packaging.

• All accessories, manuals, and documentation must be included.

• All returns and exchanges are subject to inspection and approval by our team.

3. How to Return

Please contact our Customer Support team at help@matotanks.com with your:

• Order number

• Reason for return or exchange

• Any relevant details or photos

We’ll guide you through the process.

4. Refunds

Once your return is approved, a refund will be issued to your original payment method. Please allow up to 5 business days for processing.

5. Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to a defect or error on our part. We recommend using a trackable shipping method to ensure safe delivery.

Warranties Policy

At Mato, we build tanks to last — and our warranty reflects that commitment.

Warranty Registration Required

To activate your warranty, all Mato tank owners must register their tank on our website and accurately enter the purchase date.

Warranty Coverage

We offer warranties across three categories:

1. Tank Body (Hull, Turret, and Panels)

⚙️ 10-Year Warranty
Covers structural issues such as cracking, breaking, or deformation under normal use. (i.e. the main tank body, turret, and structural metal panels)

2. Wear-and-Tear Components

⚙️ 5-Year Warranty
Covers mechanical parts such as:

• Gearbox gears

• Hatch handles

• Hinges, latches, and other non-electronic external fittings

• Metal tracks, metal wheels, and other Mato-produced mechanical accessories (including those designed for Heng Long tanks)

These parts are protected against manufacturing defects and functional failure under normal use for up to 5 years.

3. Electronic Components

⚙️ 6-Month Warranty
Covers electronic items such as:

• Control boards (e.g. TK50S)

• Transmitters

• Batteries

• Battery chargers

• IR receivers and smoke units

Warranty Claim Process

To submit a warranty claim, please email help@matotanks.com and include:

• Your order number

• Product registration confirmation

• Description of the issue

• Photos or videos (if available)

Our team will evaluate your case and offer a suitable resolution — such as repair, replacement, or refund, depending on the situation and warranty terms.

Warranty Exclusions

The following are not covered under our warranty:

• Damage due to misuse, abuse, accidents, or modifications

• Unauthorized repairs or disassembly

• Cosmetic wear (e.g. scratches, chipped paint)

• Products not registered within 365 days of purchase

By placing an order on our website, you agree to the terms outlined in this Returns & Warranties Policy.

Note: Mato Tanks purchased from authorized resellers listed on our website are fully covered under the same warranty policy. Please retain your proof of purchase when registering your tank.

However, if the reseller has made significant modifications to the tank—such as altering its internal functions, upgrading or replacing components (e.g., using a different battery capacity), or converting it from a static model to a remote-controlled version—these changes fall outside the scope of our original factory warranty. In such cases, any issues arising from these modifications are the responsibility of the reseller.
